Pre-K Program Info

PRE-K PROGRAM

At this age, experts stress the important role of the parent in early childhood development, so this program has been designed to support active parent participation.  A professional coach will lead the session. Parents are asked to participate.

Who can play? 

·        This program is formatted for children who are in the year before kindergarten and typically 4 years old.

When/Where? 

·        Spring Sessions beginning in April

·        6-8 weeks

·        2 Sessions Available (Sat 8:30-9am, or Sat 12-12:30pm)

·        Memorial Middle School, Middlefield

·        NO Session Durham Fair/Go Far Race Saturday

Equipment Needed:

·        Supplied: shirt

·        Required: shin guards, size 3 ball

·        optional: cleats

K-Clinic Program Info

U6 (Kindergarten)

Specifically designed to introduce the game to kindergarten aged players. Parent Volunteers are needed help manage weekly sessions and keep groups small. No coaching experience necessary. Professional coaches will lead overall session and provide curriculum.

Who can play? 

·        This program is for players in Kindergarten.

When/Where? 

·        Spring Sessions beginning in April

·        8 weeks

·        Saturdays 9-10am

·        Middlefield Memorial School, Middlefield

·        NO Session Durham Fair/Go Far Race Saturday

Equipment Needed:

·        Supplied: shirt

·        Required: shin guards covered by soccer socks, size 3 ball

·        optional: cleats

1/2 Clinic (U8's)

U8 (1st/2nd Graders)

Specifically designed to introduce the game to u8 players. Parent Volunteers are needed help manage weekly sessions and keep teams small. No coaching experience necessary. Professional coaches will be overseeing sessions and volunteer coaches will be given information to help lead small teams.

Who can play? 

·        This program is for players in students in 1st/2nd grade.

·        Girls and Boys will be separate to ensure groups are small and enhance the overall experience for players.

When/Where? 

·        Spring Sessions beginning in April

·        8 weeks – one game, one practice per week

·        BOYS: Saturdays 10-11am  GIRLS: Saturdays 11am-12pm

·        1 weeknight session per week, times/dates determined by volunteer coaches and announced prior to season

·        Middlefield Memorial School, Middlefield

·        NO Session Durham Fair/Go Far Race Saturday

Equipment Needed:

·        Supplied: shirt

·        Required: shin guards covered by soccer socks, size 3 ball

·        optional: cleats

Teams:

-Volunteer Team Parent

-5-8 Players (the smaller the teams the more fun for the kids)

Travel Program Info

Coginchaug Soccer Club's Travel program provides a level-appropriate combination of clinic style training and small sided games.

Parents are encouraged to volunteer as coaches/managers/assistant coaches.

  • Practices
    • Week Night -1-2 Evenings by Parent coaches
    • First practice is TBA
  • Team Sizes
    • U9/10 - 10-15 player per team
    • U11/12 - 12-20 player per team
    • U13-19 - 12-25 players per team
  • Games
    • Saturdays/Sundays at Memorial Middle School Fields and other South Central District team
    • Field Players
      • U9/10 - 7v7
      • U11/12 - 9v9
      • U13-19 - 11v11
  • Equipment
    • Uniform: Needs to be ordered from the Coginchaug Soccer Web Store via the Club Web Store and can be used for MULTIPLE SEASONS
    • Required: shin guards, socks, cleats, labeled water bottle, size #4 ball for U9-12 Size 5 for U13 and above

Refund Policy

• All Refunds must be requested in writing by email to the club treasurer or registrar by the person who originally paid

• Any and all refunds will have a $20 admin fee deducted for EACH refunded transaction to cover the clubs cost of credit card processing at registration and then at refund.

• Please note that that any registration fees are refundable prior to close of regular registration.

• Registration fees will be refunded at 50% between the end of regular registration and the first program session .

• No refunds will be made after the date of the programs first game of the season.

• Any late fees incurred  at the time of registration are non-refundable.

• Exceptions to this policy (e.g., significant medical issue) may be requested in writing to the President of the Club.

• Please note that once the season has started, there will be no full refunds.
