2024-2025 In House Recreational Soccer Programs

Below is information on our In-House programs, typically Pre-K - 2nd grade.
(Travel Programs are based on birth year and are typically 3rd -12th grade.)

PLEASE NOTE: Program offerings are subject to change. All times listed are tentative. Registration numbers could change offerings.
 
PRE-K PROGRAM
At this age, experts stress the important role of the parent in early childhood development, so this program has been designed to support active parent participation. A professional coach will lead the session. Parents are asked to participate.
 
Who can play? 
·        This program is formatted for children who are in the year before kindergarten and typically 4 years old.
 
When/Where? 
·        Fall sessions Start September. Spring Sessions beginning in April
·        6-8 weeks
·        2 Sessions Available (Sat 8:30-9am, or Sat 12-12:30pm)
·        Memorial Middle School, Middlefield
·        NO Session Durham Fair Saturday
 
Equipment Needed:
·        Supplied: shirt
·        Required: shin guards, size 3 ball
·        Optional: cleats
 
U6 (KINDERGARTEN)
Specifically designed to introduce the game to kindergarten aged players. Parent Volunteers are needed to help manage weekly sessions and keep groups small. No coaching experience necessary. Professional coaches will lead overall session and provide curriculum.
 
Who can play? 
·        This program is for players in Kindergarten.
 
When/Where? 
·        Fall sessions Start September/Spring Sessions beginning in April
·        8 weeks
·        Saturdays 9-10am
·        Middlefield Memorial School, Middlefield
·        NO Session Durham Fair Race Saturday
 
Equipment Needed:
·        Supplied: shirt
·        Required: shin guards covered by soccer socks, size 3 ball
·        Optional: cleats
 
U8 (1st/2nd GRADERS)
Specifically designed to introduce the game to u8 players. Parent Volunteers are needed help manage weekly sessions and keep teams small. No coaching experience necessary. Professional coaches will be overseeing sessions and volunteer coaches will be given information to help lead small teams.
 
Who can play? 
·        This program is for players in students in 1st/2nd grade.
·       Pending enrollment numbers, Girls and Boys will be separate to ensure groups are small and enhance the overall experience for players.
 
When/Where? 
·        Fall sessions Start September/Spring Sessions beginning in April
·        8 weeks – one game, one practice per week
·        BOYS: Saturdays 10-11am  GIRLS: Saturdays 11am-12pm
·        1 weeknight session per week, times/dates determined by volunteer coaches and announced prior to season (Historically Wednesdays)
·        Middlefield Memorial School, Middlefield
·        NO Session Durham Fair Saturday
 
Equipment Needed:
·        Supplied: shirt
·        Required: shin guards covered by soccer socks, size 3 ball
·        Optional: cleats
 
Teams:
-Volunteer Team Parent
-5-8 Players (the smaller the teams the more fun for the kids)

2024-2025 Travel Soccer Programs

Travel Programs are based on birth year and are typically 3rd -12th grade.

Coginchaug Soccer Club's Travel program provides a level-appropriate combination of clinic style training and travel games.
Parents are encouraged to volunteer as assistant coaches, team managers or equipment managers.

Players will register by year of birth. Teams will be determined based on enrollment. The club will determine what divisions to enter teams based on prior season outcomes and rosters.
Try outs for competition teams will be communicated as needed.

Practices:
-Week Night -2 evenings per week
-Practice start dates and times will be communicated by coaches late August

Games:
Saturdays/Sundays at Memorial Middle School Fields and other South Central District teams

Field Players
U9/10 - 7v7
U11/12 - 9v9
U13-19 - 11v11

Equipment:
-Uniform: Needs to be ordered from the Coginchaug Soccer Web Store via the Club Web Store and can be used for MULTIPLE SEASONS
-New travel players MUST email [email protected] to be assigned a jersey number prior to ordering.

Please note, the uniform may change Fall 2025 due to our current uniforms being discontinued. Please keep this in mind when ordering.

Spring 2025 High School

High School program is for all players in or entering High School in Fall 2025.

Registration is set as "try out". There are no try outs. This option allows players to register without payment.
Once enough players are confirmed to form a team, we will push payment for registration.

Travel Program Info

Coginchaug Soccer Club's Travel program provides a level-appropriate combination of clinic style training and small sided games.

Parents are encouraged to volunteer as coaches/managers/assistant coaches.

Refund Policy

• All Refunds must be requested in writing by email to the club treasurer or registrar by the person who originally paid

• Any and all refunds will have a $20 admin fee deducted for EACH refunded transaction to cover the clubs cost of credit card processing at registration and then at refund.

• Please note that that any registration fees are refundable prior to close of regular registration.

• Registration fees will be refunded at 50% between the end of regular registration and the first program session .

• No refunds will be made after the date of the programs first game of the season.

• Any late fees incurred  at the time of registration are non-refundable.

• Exceptions to this policy (e.g., significant medical issue) may be requested in writing to the President of the Club.

• Please note that once the season has started, there will be no full refunds.
